Lovefabs are a bit less.
It makes a big difference honestly. If I was putting together a setup, theres no reason not to go with top notch parts. Otherwise, spend the same amount and get a Revhard kit or something. There's no point in piecing together a kit if youre not doing it:
a) the junkyard way
or
b) spendin big dollaz on premium shit
Otherwise, youll save a lot of time/hassle by just buying a predone kit.

He is not going to need a full race manifold with the numbers he is hoping to get. You want him to spend over $1000 on a manifold for a basic setup, thats crazy. A standard log style manifold is the most practicle thing for his setup.
I dont "want" him to, Im telling him what I would do if I was piecing together a kit.
Read my post. I said he shouldnt have any problems achieving those numbers with an off the shelf kit, so if thats what hes looking for, he may as well purchase a RH or Drag kit.

im also beginning to piece together a kit, but just looking to run right around stock boost levels of 6 lbs...is the big fuel pump neccessary? i was lookin into that same pump, also im leaving stock injectors and gonna run a vortec FMU for now...until im gonna want more boost....anyone have any idea the cheapest i can find a revhard mani for? ive been looking and didnt really find anything reasonable. also as far as intercooler piping, ive read somewhere that you can do it all custom, anyone ever try that or heard good/bad on that? thanx, just trying to get things set straight before jumping in
An inline fuel pump will be the best choice with a fmu. Try searching the ht turbo classifieds for a rev hard manifold it shouldnt be too hard to find one.
Most shops should be able to bend your intercooler piping and add flanges for bov's.

hey man thanx alot for the reply...how dependable are used turbo parts? i know im goin brand new turbo and prolly FMU and TIAL wastegate if possible, but is a used manifold dependable, even if its RevHard? also yea im prolly gonna do with the wahlbro 255 also, i was just wondering if it was neccessary...thanx
Just get a good look at the manifold, lots of pics if you cant see it in person. Check welds for cracks and anything that looks wrong. Make sure it is flanged for your size turbo and wastegate.
Also stay away from spark racing manifolds, they suck.

Exactly...a lot of those Spark/SSAutochrome/OBX etc manifolds use thin material, and crack easily. The weight of the turbo is too much...they must be braced.
Drag offers a lifetime warranty on their manifolds, not sure about RevHard. Again, if youre piecing together your own Revhard or Drag kit, and not using any upgraded components, you may as well purchase a used or new kit and save yourself the hassle. You wont end up saving that much money if at all by piecing them together, and IMO, its not worth the headache.

First off i just wanted to say that i think spending all that money just to get 250 hp is crazy why not break the 300 mark? also i had a querstion if you were running 18-22 lbs of boost would a 2.5 inch downpipe and exhaust system do the trick? im trying to prove my friend wrong
