need help with exhaust setup
i have to make my christmas list and i was gonna get a header and a high flow cat. i have a dc sprot catback on there now and then the rest of the exhaust is stock. what would be a good setup for my car, what brands should i look into. BTW i dont see my parents spending 350 bucks on a header for me, so the cheaper the better, but i dont want to really sacrifice quality.
On a stock car the 2.5" collector of the JDM ITR header isn't going to produce much of a benefit. If I was in your position I would try and swing a DC Sports 4-1 stainless header. They run about $365 but maybe you can chip in some money to your parents to help with the cause. Otherwise the ceramic-coated mild steel ones run about $300 and are the same design with the not as high quality piping. I would pop for the stainless though.
For a cat you can get a Carsound high flow cat with all of the flanges and oxygen sensor plugs welded on from ipsracing.com for $185. Make sure you order the one for the 2.25" collector.
If you can only afford one thing for now you might as well get the header and then put the cat on your to-do list.

All DC headers for an application regardless of what they're made out of are the same design. The only difference is the kind of material used. The ceramic ones are made out of ceramic-coated mild steel with stainless flanges, and the stainless ones have stainless pipes as well as flanges.
ive seen dc headers on ebay for like 235, and cats for like 45, i need a cat just as bad as a header cuz the one i have on there now is hollow and the car is stinky, and stock manifold rattles like a biatch so i need both
