Default replacing stock cd player

im replacing my cd player in my 1994 acura integra, the current cd player i have in the car is the type that the whole cd player comes out of the vehicle ( no detachable face ) so im a little confused as when i took out this cd player i didn't see any type of wiring, just a jack on the left side where it looks like it plugs in, now do the 1994 integra have a wiring harness or do the cd players just plug in i guess you can say.

you should see a wire harness with about 10-15 color coded wires. do you happen to have a tape player in there also?

nope just a clarion cd player, old type, that has a handle and you can take the cd player right out, it plugs right in so there might be some kind of kit involved there then.

Chances are there is a wire adaptor that got spliced into the harness for the Clarion in there already that is to let the Clarion harness work with the factory harness. At the end there should be a plug for the facotry harness. If they cut and spliced the Clarion harness into the factory harness things could get a little difficult.

If you have small enough hands you might be able to get the stock radio out withought having to take off any of the panels.

If you can get behind the radio on the very bottom of the radio you will see 2 screws that hold it in. Thats it, if you can get those 2 screws out then your set.

These screws are very hard to get to, but thats how i did it.

door panels, you have 3 screws that hold it in. then the rest is held in by buttons...whatever you call em.

screws are behind the door handle, in the arm rest, and on the end of the door away from the lock.

then start from the bottom of the panel, and kind of just pry straight out. and work your way up. then last step is to lift the panel straight up to completely remove it.
