Default trans install

I'm having a horrible problem! I'm installing a new transmission in my Acura Integra and there's a roller pin holding the trans arm (the pipe connecting the shifter and the transmission) to the transmission. The stupid pin won't come out in either the old or replacement trans (I have a near-new one to replace it with). Anyone have any ideas?

I think you're talking about the "bitch" pin in the shift linkage. Find you an 8mm punch and a BFH and "swing away."

yes, it can be painful to get that "roll -pin" out. Try to hit it out first like drumsy said, then get an impact hammer with a punch bit(8mm) of course and use that. it will beat it out in a couple of seconds.
