sri question
i did a search on this and i found some answers i was looking for but i just want to make sure. if it is a repost, sorry. its kinda late and i am really tired..... so heres the question - With a short rim, you cant get hydrolock right? and i was wondering if any1 have the weapon R SRI and how they like it. thanks ( k going to bed now before i pass out...:loco: )
You will not hydroclock a SRI unless you drive your car into a lake or the ocean.
I had an AEM SRI for a couple of weeks but then put the AEM CAI on and the SRI was louder. I did not notice much gains, if any, with either but that is the only performance mod I have at the moment.

thanks for the information! at point the weapon R is at the top of my list, currently looking for a good deal. i think i found one for 120 shipped. any1 have anything pos/ neg to say about the weapon R intake?
Pretty much all short ram intakes are the same. Some vary in diameter tubing, some very in cone filter size, and some just vary in dynamics all together. Take for instance the J's Racing Intake. The design of it is to increase the velocity of the incoming air. This differs from most other brands, who use a set diameter piping. If you're looking for cheap, pretty much any intake that can withstand a good amount of heat will work for you. You'll also want a good oiled filter on the end, such as K&N.
If you're wanting to lay down a little bit of money and get something that performs a step above, go for the J's Racing.
