Default just got my integra.. new to the board..

What's up guys.. I just bought my Integra yesterday and just found this board so I thought I'd say hi. My last car was a 2000 Firebird Formula, which was great for about 60,000 miles, but then just started falling apart. After a rebuilt tranny, problems with the rear diff, and replacing a clutch that was failing and causing synchro problems, not to mention the mystery suspension problem that even the dealer couldn't figure out, I had enough and decided to trade it in on something more reliable and affordable (the insurance on my Firebird was in-f**kin-sane).

I test drove a few cars and loved how nimble the Integra is, plus it always scores highly on reliability reports, so yesterday I picked up a black 1998 Integra LS with about 44,000 miles and I'm pretty stoked right now.

Anyhoo.. that's all I wanted to say.. I'll stop being a dork now..

That's quite the difference in power. Did you trade in the Firebird?

Yeah, I traded in the Firebird. I just couldn't afford it anymore and it was costing too much to maintain. The difference in power is pretty extreme, but the handling problem really limited how much of that power I could use when in turns or over rough pavement.

Although, the biggest adjustment I'm making right now is just the size of the car. After driving a car that's 800 lbs heavier with a big a$$ dash and hood sticking out in front, the Integra feels super tiny.

congrats on the buy
do some research, you got the motor with the smallest hp, but they all have about the same torque figures
you can turbo your motor, and still have cheap insurance rates
