Hi, I have some stickey residue left over from a sticker that was on a dash board and wanted to know that is it safe to use goo-gone to remove it? Will it remove the color etc? Thanks!
It does leave sort of a flat looking area that you will want to polish&wax. I used goo-b-gone to take off the adhesive from my GSR badge when I figured out that I am much better off letting them think, "The alloy rims on that LS would look sweet on my civic, than "That B18C would look pretty good in my civic with the stolen GSR alloys."
Originally posted by g2tegls Goo Gone works fine on the exterior paint. Make sure to wash and wax that area afterward, though. I used it to take off the pinstriping on my car.
:nono: you should only use products on your paint that were ment for paint. Goo Gone is for household use although there are SOME safe applications for car use. I explained these above.
