Is it worth $3,500?
I am currently looking into a 1994 Acura Integra LS right now. It has 160,000 miles, the price he is asking is $4,500, kelly blue book is $3,815, and I want it for only $3,500. Do you think this integra with this kind of mileage is worth my $3,500? I Drive Kinda Hard once a while and I dont really make much money incase something happens to this car but he says he is first owner and has ALL maintence records. So i just need your guy's opinion, i really want an INtegra LS or higher but in my area it is really hard to find one in good condition and low mileage for my price range. I can only afford up to $4,500 cash by owner or finance a $6000-$6500 car with a $4,500 down payment. So basically what my question is: Is a Well Maintained 1994 Acura Integra LS Worth $3,500?? If I get this car should I just save up for a new motor and tranny, or a rebuild?
If I were you, which I'm not, I would get a possibly older car (92-93) with fewer miles and more options (GS, LS-Special, or GS-R if you can find one) for about the same amount of money. Probably more like 100-120k miles.
I bought my 94LS w/ 89k 2 years ago for $6600. It was in near perfect shape for the mileage, all maintainence. Providing the car is clean and strong, and you can do basic work yourself (like alternator, radiator, etc.) it will probably be a decent deal and a pretty reliable car. Make sure to see when the timing belt and water pump were last changed. They normally need to be done every 75-90k, and are a bitch and a half to do yourself. That'll be a few hundred dollars at the shop otherwise.

Lol thanx, hey Ilnasty, where do you live? Because if its close by I can probably fly their and drive it back ? Any opinions on that? Well over here Integras WERE everywhere. Whenever I turn a corner I see an Integra, I look in auto trader I see one, every parking lot has one. Then as soon as I sold my car for $3,500, ALL the 5spd InTEGRAS seem to just disapear. There were very few Integs with nice mileage on autotrader, and non of the used car lots around here has one, the acura and honda dealers dont have something in my price range, all the classifieds on the tribune are asking 700-1200 above blue book. So im stuck without a car right now....
Oh I live in Mesa, Arizona BTW, zip code 85208 if you can help me look for a nice mileage Integra LS or Higher, 5spd and in good condition. MUST HAVE AC. Thanx.
