Distributer Problem
I have a 94 Integra and recently the distributer was making a lot of noise so I bought a new one from bumper to bumper. After I installed it the car won't startup. I found a couple of websites that have instructions on how to install it properly, but it seems to not work. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or the part that I bought is defective. I don't want to bring the car to the shop because I want to learn how to do this. If anyone knows anything that may help I would appreciate it.
Did everything match up identical to your old one? Were the wiring plugs the same? Any reason to suspect they sold you the wrong year/model?
How does it 'not work'? Does the engine start but run badly? Does it not start at all?
Where the distributor shaft engages the camshaft SHOULD only be able to go in one way, but apparently it can be forced together wrong if you try hard enough.
Did you put the plug wires on in the correct order?
