As compared to an OEM shifter:

In action:

The details are that in retains the stock throw but decreases the effort needed to shift to the next gear. Of course, it is a 5lb shifter, but it's designed for road racing.

I see that shifter more popular in the Auto X group. It would make it so that u wont have to move ur hand so far to shift, then u can keep u hand where it should be, the wheel. But for daily driving i would say no. If i want that kind of shifter on a daily driver i would drive a truck. just my IHO.

I see the idea behind it...I don't think I would use it.

That is a Del Sol. It will fit all applications though so it seems. More info can be found at www.heeltoeauto.com. Their price is $140. The manufacturer is www.fastlineperformance.com

its why the shifter is in the dash in the new Si's...same principle. \

I remember reading a story about how a girl was high off of heroin and ecstacy, and was so horny and drugged up that she needed to bone something....and that something was a shifter....without a knob (it was too big)....and she bled to death.

I forgot exactly where i read it, but it was one of those sites where ex-drugee people would share stories... there was some F-ed up stuff on that site..
