i know the feeling on the badges it happened again and again to me (they put them on their hondas wtf) anywayz on the subject of cv joints i was told mine were bad and i was going to need to get them replaced... got in there and looked at it and there was a huge hunk of styrofoam took it out no more sound go figure...

just wondering... can the wheel bearings go bad from a messed up axle? i just replaced my right axle and now i hear some noise goin straight.... it gets louder everytime i drive it. i just thought that my axle was REALLY messed up... guess not though.

Man, I almost hit a cone just like that, in the middle of the lane leaned over away from me, luckily i saw it in time and the road around me was empty, so i missed. Earlier I hit a massive hole in the road, like a big square cut out of the side, it was pretty bad sounding, i may need an alignment now... The next day it was filled in, I hate road construction.

$80 for the boot or for the CV joint? CV joint is $200-250, right?
I had to replace both boots on my civic but I just did the $15 Speedi-boot (the one you strap on). I caught the second boot failure too late. It is not clicking yet but it is making a little noise while turning.
Thanks for posting up the removal procedure that will surely help when I have to do it again.
