Man, I almost hit a cone just like that, in the middle of the lane leaned over away from me, luckily i saw it in time and the road around me was empty, so i missed. Earlier I hit a massive hole in the road, like a big square cut out of the side, it was pretty bad sounding, i may need an alignment now... The next day it was filled in, I hate road construction.

$80 for the boot or for the CV joint? CV joint is $200-250, right?

I had to replace both boots on my civic but I just did the $15 Speedi-boot (the one you strap on). I caught the second boot failure too late. It is not clicking yet but it is making a little noise while turning.

Thanks for posting up the removal procedure that will surely help when I have to do it again.

Definitely going to have to replace that. Go down to your local Auto Zone and pay $80 bucks for a replacement. Limited lifetime warrenty so if it ever does something like this again, they'll replace!

a bent axle can mess up your bearings. and it sounds anything from a whirring noise to a roar.
