Default Integra CD player problems

Hi - I have a 2000 Integra. Love the car and it hasn't given me any problems - until recently. My CD player has started acting up over the last couple thousand miles (I'm at 47,000). Sometimes it works fine, others it doesn't. Sometimes it won't play at all.

It seems to do this when it's either very hot out or when the car gets really warm (heat on). Anyone know anything about this? My warrantly runs out at 50,000 and I'm not sure how to proceed.

Thanks

Take it to Acura. It sounds like it may be overheating. Also post in the audio forum as well. Those guys can help better.

Default Integra CD player problems (reply)

Thanks DVPGSR. One more question, would this technically be covered under the warranty (if it is heating up and not playing)? And have you heard of this before. I just can't seem to figure it out (like I said, sometimes it plays flawlessly, then when it's hot it doesn't).

Thanks

I would assume it is under warranty...but don't quote me on that. I have heard of CD players overheating and shutting off...but not the stock ones from Acura. However, I must say that when changing CDs on a long road trip the CDs are very hot when taking them out after playing for awhile.

Good luck with it.

i also dont think that stock ones should be actin up on ya.

my roommates cd player works BETTER once heated. he got in an accident a while back and when we got it back from the shop the damn thing would work. we think they tried to rip it off and couldnt so they ended up just fcking it up. so now when we have it on for a while it plays whatever but when cold it the player choses what cds it will let us play

blah blah blah sorry.

go to acura:thumbup:
