Default difference between bolt on and weld on mufflers?

is there any difference? how hard is it to install a bolt-on muffler?

i can assume that weld-on will require a lot of equipment.

Bolt on mufflers are a breeze, and weld on's are a bitch for a home mechanic...

bolt on mufflers are a lot easier to install and they are worth the extra money, simply because of less headaches. universal mufflers cost a lot more to install cause unless you know how to weld and own welding equipment, you are going to have to go to a muffler specialist to get it installed, which is going to cost a pretty penny.

if I buy one of those cheapass no-name mufflers on ebay, will they fit on my car without any mods?

also I have almost no experience with handling tools. Is it pretty easy to install a new muffler?

Honda bolts will always snap...they're crap. I suggest buying new ones from Acura BEFORE trying to get any off so if (when) they break you won't be screwed until you can get some new ones.
