Default 98 Gsr Ecu, Help!

Ive got a 88 Honda Crx Si, with a 98 Gsr block W/98 Gsr Head, and the ecu is a mugen reprogrammable one, im not sure what programs on it since it came with the car when i bought it.

Im not sure what ecu goes with this engine or if its OBD-2 or OBD-1, or what i really have no idea. Or if its possible to have more than 1 setup with this engine.

I just know that i dont like the idea of dumping tons of extra fuel into the engine to try and make more power which what my current ecu is doing.

I would like to change it to whatever usually goes with this engine. The problem is i dont know which one it is?

Help!

I think the P72 is an OBD-II ECU you can use.

I got the numbers off the ecu

37820-pr3-J00
410-207118 AN

So im assuming its a Pr3 ecu, with a Mugen Chip.

Also im assuming that Pr3 is obd0
so i would need a obd0 to obd2.1, wiring harness thats going to cost me 250 plus shipping, to use a 96-00 P72 (obd2.1) ecu, and i will have to buy the ecu.

All the parts and info i have gathered i have collected from...
www.locashracing.com

So ill see if i can get a 96-00 P72 program written on my Pr3 ecu (if possible to save wiring) or whatevers cheaper.

Or...

I could leave in the chipped Pr3 ecu that is in there if it really wont make a difference.

What does everyone think?...

Thanks

The car runs as is, correct? As long as that's the case then you don't have to rewire anything.

I would have it rechipped with a more streetable program by Locash, that should make the car run better.

Yeah car runs well, starts good, idles steady and where it should, no flat spots in throttle, vtec comes on at stock setting.
Ill look into finding out exactly whats on that program.

Thanks again

alright, so you dont like the amount of gas it uses while in VTEC? are you sure it is using more than normal?

i'm kinda confused about what you are trying to accomplish here.
