Default Noise from fornt end

When im driving i hear a noise coming from the front end. When i touch the wheel to the left then the noise stops and when i let it go back it starts. I had the car aligned about 5 months ago when i lowered it. I thought maybe a bent wheel so i put stock back on and still does it. had wheels off and looked at all boots on axles and none riped or leaking. Noise is hard to describe! its not a clickin sound maybe more of a vibrating noise or a loud humming sound. The steering wheel doesnt shake but there is a slight vibrating felt in the floor board. Anyone have any ideas!

the noise gets louder as i drive faster and less as i stop. had the car up on both sides. grabed the wheel and pushed and pulled on it and there was no play in it. everything seemed secure and ok.

Getting loose isn't the only way for wheel bearings to fail. Sometimes they get tight, & make grinding noises. Mine wasn't so noisy but it felt like knobby mud tires. I had just gotten new snow tires at the time so I want all winter bitching about those Blizzaks. Then when I put the summer tires back on, it was still there...

When I took the knuckle off, the hub was real hard to spin, but NOT loose at all.
