Teins have adjustable shocks that require dialing in to drive ideally.

What shocks are you running with your piece of shit $50 coilovers? Stock? If you can't feel the difference then you deserve your $50 pieces of shit.
Look here son, i wasnt quoting your ignorant a$$ so why are u replying to me? even when they are installed wrong its inenvitable that coilovers can and may become siezed even wen installed right.

yea i was running stock shocks with my "piece of shit $50 dollar coilovers" and im not the only one in this post who does agree that these coilovers ride the same and perform the same as $300 - 1000 dollar named brand coilovers. call me cheap, rice, or watever the fvck u want because im not the one who spent 250 dollars more for something that does the same thing.

go buy some name brand toilet paper and buy some 99 cent toilet paper and whipe ure ass with both of em. in the end they both do the job so why spend more for the other.

You can't feel the difference between Tein full coilovers and cheap $50 coilover sleeves? You must really suck at driving.
is there some kinda special JDM technique to make sharp right hand and left hand turns?

Because you can't kill yourself with 99 cent toilet paper. At 80mph you CAN kill yourself with 50 dollar coilovers. Wiping your ass and driving on the freeway are different. When you get your license you might find this out.

Until that happens, please try and be a bit less indignant. Thanks.

WHO CARES???? you like your cheapie 50 dollar jawns and he likes his expensive shits cant we all just get along. If you like your 50 dollar coilovers say so. If you like your expensive ones, say so but dont attack another's reasoning. What each of you is saying are valid points.

The thing is, springs/coilovers dont dictate handling as much as shocks do. If you want a nice ride, spend all your money on shocks and buy the 50 dollar coilovers.

As for myself, i spent 140 on my H&R race springs and 260 on my Gabriel struts. The gabriel struts perform more or less like OEM but a bit stiffer. I like the ride and handling a lot. so for 400 bucks i got a nice setup.

Now if you want quality springs or coilovers and dont wanna pay through the nose....go where I went for my H&R's www.adventon.com

e-kick me in the nuts huh? Let me grab my e-jockstrap here real fast, and maybe my e-steel toes so I can e-return the favour.

I was talking about the 50-dollar ones. I'm not saying that they're ALL bound for failure, but why do you think they cost less? Lower-quality material, lower standards for quality assurance, etc. Perhaps I'm paranoid about what I put on my car, but when you're talking about a $10,000 investment (give or take a few thousand depending) I really don't think that putting an extra 100-400 bucks into coilovers is going to wreck you financially. Not like an auto wreck would.

Just my $.02

:blah:

You know what they say about everybody having an opinion and an asshole.

The way I see it I'm protecting the people who read this thread from thinking that a piece of shit $50 coilover is going to be an actual performance part because some guy who has them with stock shocks thinks they're neato.

And guess what, I can close this thread to prevent any further corruption of the general populace. Got a problem with it then PM me.
