Default another clutch spring victim

got a new clutch yesterday, because one of the springs popped out of the hub. i know this is a common problem, but who else has it happened to?

My springs were going south on my OEM clutch before I replaced it at 50k miles. Glad I didn't wait any longer.

my clutch springs still seem fine after almost 112k.. if they give out now, i won't feel it's premature...

Then again, throughout those 50k miles I mentioned above, I must've visited the dragstrip 2x a month for two consecutive years, not to mention the turbo install 10k before that.

how do you know your springs popped out. Does it make a certain sound or something. My clutch makes a weird noise when I start off in first and reverse.

Usually your clutch dosen't disengage fully when a spring pops out. It gets jammed inbetween the clutch and the pressure plate (i think) and stops the clutch from releasing fully. I knew my clutch died when i was shifting and suddenly the clutch didnt work worth a sh1t.

exactly...you'll have trouble shifting gears and getting a smooth engagement.

when it happened i just started to rev match every shift and shift without the clutch. Sucked for awhile but now its fixed
