Default Wiring Harness

Right now my ecu is odb2 going to a p2p ecu. There is no vtec plugs etc. I bid on a p2p ecu(correct ecu for the d16z6) and was told to get a new wiring harness. From viewing pictures of the engine wiring harness I dont see that it plugs directly into the ecu. Is there another harness that goes from the engine to the ecu that I should be aware of? Do I also have to change the interior harness?

The P2P is an OBD-2 ECU for the D16Y8 SOHC VTEC.

The P28 is an OBD-1 ECU for the D16Z6 SOHC VTEC.

What are you trying to do, and what car are you doing it to?

I understand that..what I am saying is the car came with the p2p on the d16z6 w/ a chopped harness to accomodate the odb2 ecu. What I need to know is getting a d16z6 harness and p28 ecu going to solve my wiring woes? Or is there something additional needed to have the harness reach the ecu?
