Exhaust question, need your help/advice.
Will my 93 coupe cat-back exhaust fit on my friends 96 coupe?
Ive been looking for a new muffler for a while cause my N1 is waaay too loud. I found a place that sells the Magnaflow cat-back for like 280 shipped. I also can get a Magnaflow universal muffler for like 100 shipped. Should i just buy the muffler OR sell my friend my exhaust, and get the new cat-back?
Sorry for rambling on and if doesnt make sense. Thanks in advance

the N1 is a universal muffler welded to 2.25 piping with a resonator welded in as well. The exhaust shop welded everything as one piece, so there is no axle back flanges on my car.
So my cat-back wont fit on my friends 96 coupe?

Won't fit as is, but most places charge around 50 bucks to put a universal on, w/ piping, welding, and hinges. It's the flange situation that makes it more expensive.
A decent weld machine (electric/feed) can cost as low as 300.
I got a Greddy Trust SP that was cut to fit a 98. I priced a lot of machine shops and it was an average of 75 dollars. 125 to use all new metal and match flanges and weld on hinges. 50 dollars to cut the pipe off the stock muffler and weld it to the new after they cut that one off too.
I bought a welder. Had a cutting wheel. Had a sanding wheel.
Took me less than an hour and made 600 last month doing the same thing for other people, at 50 bucks a pop.
All the work that's been done on my car has been done by myself. My brother helped with the ACT clutch and timing belt. I should've change the water pump while it was apart...
