Mine is being pinch with the j's racing intake.

i noticed today putting the intake, and tb back on.

i disconnected it and tried to run it over the intake, but it's still in the way.


i need a longer line mainly.

is the gsr or the type r line longer than the stock civic d series line?

dude, just go to Shucks or Napa or something and get a longer length of the same diameter hose.

 

I'd replace the line with the GSR version. WestCoast had a problem with fuel pressure when trying to use the stock DX model, but it cleared up when he spent on the GSR version. Wise investment.

 

I don't think you can do that. The ends of the lines have "Banjo"(sp) fittings on them. It's a special line. It looks alot like a brake line.

If you get suitable hose and take it to a hydraulic fitting shop, they can re-use the banjo fittings with new ferrals crimped on. Or you could take your old hose to such a place and they could sell you the suitable hose and make the line for you with your old fittings.

 

If you're going this far (and it's worth it), then just get them to make you a longer steel braided hose with new fittings. It's about the same cost. The gsr fuel line would fix it, but you could probably have one made faster than finding one.

 

I wouldn't, and in fact, I don' t think you even can re-use the fittings. The fittings will probably be hard to find as well, as I would imagine that they were made special for Honda. Your best bet is going to be finding a longer stock hose. I think someone said the GSR is longer. Other than that, your only other option would be to re-locate the fuel filter so it's closer to the rail.

oops, sorry bout that, didn't read close enough to realize you were talking about the line w/ banjo fittings. but like the guy said above, go in & have one made w/ steel braid.

 

The fittings are nothing but a barb fitting with a crimped ferral on the outside of it to hold the hose on the fitting. If you cut away the old ferral and the hose carefully they can be put on another hose with new ferrals with a special machine [which a hydraulic fitting shop will have], which is what Honda does at the factory anyways. It's just usually easier to buy a new hose than to have one made, unless you want something special. It really doesn't cost much to have custom lines made, cost of materials plus ~ $5-10.
