problem with vtec controller

Default problem with vtec controller

i recently installed an apexi vtec box/controller on my 03 civic ex
when i get my rpms up past 4k in the first few minutes i drive it works perfect, but after that the engine stutters and pretty much cuts out, it still runs just stutters and wont accelerate. can anyone help me out on what to do here?

the problem is that you have the newer civics. Apexi is still trying to work out the bugs and recommend not installing the VAFC in any 01 and newer vtec civics.

yep
they do nothing unless you have set cam gears and forced induction

really? wanna back that up with some facts?

cuz other than the honda-tech hack job, the VTEC controllers are incompatible with stock computers and boost.
