Default Transmission Rebuild Problem

I am trying to rebuild my 95 GSR tranny. There is a snap ring on the end of the countershaft ball bearing that I cannot remove. The only access to this snap ring is through a 32mm bolt hole. I have removed this sealing bolt but I can not spread the snap ring far enough apart to remove it from the bearing groove. Can anyone who has rebuilt tannys in the past give me a tip about removing this snap ring? Or am I just being a baby? Thanks

jus lift the snap rite out w/ some needle nose pliers. Spread it far enough apart and then lift up the tranny case.
