Default how do i mount my amp?

ok i bought a sub/box/amp combo and the amp was attached to the box, well the amp didnt work so i had to get a new one

now my amp is just laying on the trunk not attached to anything. i'm afraid having it shuffling around back there will be bad.

should i mount it to my seatbacks? and if so, how? how much would an audio shop charge to install it there? everythings wired up and the sub works, its just the amp isnt mounted

thanks for the help

Well you got a couple of options to mount the amp. You can mount it back on the enclosure/ box. That way, when you have to remove the box, everything goes with it. The other option is to mount it on the backseat. I would use simple lag screws. You can use the type of screws for wood work. A good 1 - 1 1/2" screw is good enough. G' luck!

just mount it on the back of the rear seats. thats how i have it and it works out great like that. just use about 1" wood type screwes and just drill the amp right into the back of the seat.

uh..the backseats are at least 3" insulated. So if u use a 1 - 1 1/2" wood screw, it'd be fine. Don't worry man...we got it covered! :loco:

Unless u got some crapped ass car with crapped ass seats, don't worry about it. 1" screws will do the trick. If you're so worried, forget it and mount it on the enclosure. We don't kno we're talking about, we just mounts amp on backseats cuz it looks kewl!

I used some 1" self tapping screws to mount my PC on the back of my rear seat. Can't feel them from the front at all.
