lowering springs w/o shocks...
is it really bad for your stock shocks to run some lowering springs.. im not looking at an aggresive drop, but im getting tired of the huge wheel well on my car.. i might get some h&r sports for my birthday, but not the koni yellows that i want.. (gonna buy eventually tho)
basically what im curious to know is, it is ok to run these springs on stock shocks for a signifcant amount of time? or can i expect to have blown shocks in like a week?.. how long could i expect... realistically..

Depends on the spring (springrates + amount of drop). Comptech springs (1.25" drop) are actually advertised to be used with the stock shocks, but the H&R's are a bit more aggressive. I would just save up until you can get both at once and do a complete replacement.
I was at stock height for the duration of high school, and it's really not all that bad.
h: Once you're lowered people assume you're a member of the "crowd" and try to race you at every opportunity they get.
