Default lowering springs w/o shocks...

is it really bad for your stock shocks to run some lowering springs.. im not looking at an aggresive drop, but im getting tired of the huge wheel well on my car.. i might get some h&r sports for my birthday, but not the koni yellows that i want.. (gonna buy eventually tho)

basically what im curious to know is, it is ok to run these springs on stock shocks for a signifcant amount of time? or can i expect to have blown shocks in like a week?.. how long could i expect... realistically..

Depends on the spring (springrates + amount of drop). Comptech springs (1.25" drop) are actually advertised to be used with the stock shocks, but the H&R's are a bit more aggressive. I would just save up until you can get both at once and do a complete replacement.

I was at stock height for the duration of high school, and it's really not all that bad. h: Once you're lowered people assume you're a member of the "crowd" and try to race you at every opportunity they get.

The stiffer the spring, the quicker it will tear through your stock shocks... probably in less than 6 months.

you will be fine with H&R sports and stock shocks for a while.... they might last 6 months or they might last 2-3 years. But you will have to buy shocks somewhere down the road
