Default Well... that didn't take long...

And thus the element in my Random Tech Catalytic converter broke. Fawk. It will take them a week to get a warranty replacement out to me too.

Now I'm REALLY glad that I decided to keep my old cat around. As shitty as it was, it didn't rattle like hell.

And don't mention using a test pipe as a temporary replacement. There's no muffler shops in the area who are shady enough to make a test pipe. I called

So I'm having a friend drive up this weekend and bring me my old cat. Though, if someone thinks I can avoid it, I would prefer to just suffer with a rattling cat all the way home (I have neither the tools or the space to do it myself up here at school, And thus I would have to pay someone to do it). Any thoughts? Should I wait and suffer, or pay someone to swap the thing out temporarily?

Actually, thankfully, their warranty department is treating me really well right now!

I got the randomtech cause I got a good price on it (Like $150 or something), but yeah, when I figure out where I want to take my car (All motor, turbo, or super), I plan on getting a custom carsound.

but, if I knew then what I know now...

So what's an average price on a Random Tech versus a Carsound?

Like... carsounds are like about $80, but then you have to pay someone to weld the flanges on to make it fit. Most random techs go for around something like $220, but I got mine for $150.

Random techs seem to be flaky, but so far their warranty service is painless.

Though, I always give any product at least one chance for warranty failure, since I'm just about garuanteed to get the faulty product It's just my luck

Does anybody know any sites where I could get a 2.25 carsound cat for cheap like Epoch said, about $80?
