Default fan problems with my TL, can anyone helP?

hi, i bought an Acura TL that was salvage since i had a really really good deal. it was crashed in the back and now everything is fixed. i had to replace the tail end and the navigation unit along with it. that's it. now it drives and everything but the fan does not turn off. i brought it to the dealer to have it checked and they said that nothing was wrong with it and when they pressed hte "off" button, it turned off. it isn't the case for me and borought it to a diff shop and said they couldn't fix it. all of the wiring was correct and they say that it might be a sensor or something? or something behind the navigation screen? i don't know. can someone help me out thougH?

Well, if the dealer can turn it off by pressing the off button, why can't you? Did you ask the dealer to show you how they turned the fan off? By fan, you meet than ventilation system inside the car right?

Have you tried pushing the "off" button? After you pushed the off button the screen will become blank. (This is for the non-Navi model)

Then bring it back to the dealership and have whomever told you they got it to turn off by pushing the off button to show you.

tried it. he said he doesn't know after. he just said that when the car was in his hands, he turned it off. tried it again with me there and no go. i think he was full of it. on the civic forum there is a guy with a civic and has the same problem. his heater pack or something is fried? maybe this is it? and if it is a possibility, where is it located? someone told me that it might be something behind the navigation screen but i dont know how to get behind it. -= )any help would be appreciated mr moderator sir -= )

I have no idea where the heater pack is. Since your heater/AC system goes through the Navi, you better let the dealer take a look at this. Is your car still under warranty?
