Engine sounds on 03 Coupe
I got a 03 Coupe LX 4-cyc. When I have the car in parked with the engine running, the sound volume of the engine sounds a little of loud. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I thought it should be super quiet.

MrChad. By the way, what's your homepage for your ride? I seen it before, but like to see it again
All the new Honda 4-cylinder engines are K-series based and use a timing chain instead of belt to run the camshaft off the crank.
All the 6-cylinders and older Honda 4-cylinders use a timing belt to run the cam off the crank.
Timing chains make more noise. Honda, Nissan, etc. are all using new quiter timing chains, but they still aren't as quite as a belt. Up note--you rarely if ever need to replace a timing chain--in theory they can last forever vs. a timing-belt.
I'm currently moving my pictures to my Yahoo DSL site but I'm having issues. Until then, use this:

i think the new k series engines sound awesome. Except for that pinging, clicking noise at idle (which is normal), the engine sounds really high-tech and kinda high-pitched, which is pleasant to hear for me atleast.
