All the new Honda 4-cylinder engines are K-series based and use a timing chain instead of belt to run the camshaft off the crank.

All the 6-cylinders and older Honda 4-cylinders use a timing belt to run the cam off the crank.

Timing chains make more noise. Honda, Nissan, etc. are all using new quiter timing chains, but they still aren't as quite as a belt. Up note--you rarely if ever need to replace a timing chain--in theory they can last forever vs. a timing-belt.
