Default 98 Coupe Mirrors

Accord Coupe'rs:

Where is the best place to find a replacement drivers side mirror for a 98 EX V6 coupe (black beauty)? Most dealers/shops tell me they're on back order, and ebay is hit/miss.
If not original, then can anyone point me to some good looking aftermarket types that install "clean"?

Thanks

R

Yeah, I've always used these guys (Majestic Honda) and they've come thru 9/10 times with great service. This is the one time they haven't been able to fulfill the order....on back order since 1/03.

The drivers side was actually clipped on NYE, leaving the stalk and motor intact, the outer plastic cover and mirror were toast. To get by, I put a circular "blind spot" mirror on the still functioning pivot. Looks kind of like Arnold's eye in The Terminator.

I've seen tons of the european "M3" mirrors on Ebay, but I'm not sure that's the look I want and who knows how easy/clean they'll install.

Thanks.

Please don't do the stupid M3 mirrors. They'll look dumb on your car. Best bet is to go OEM...search junkyards if you're that hard up.

Thanks, I was just looking for some confirmation on those M3 mirrors...they can't possibly make any thing look good.

I have seen, on rare occasion, mis-matched (color) 2000 mirror assemblies on Ebay. They're the folding type put on after 98. I'm thinking they'll fit no problem, agree? Although they're practical for the tight one-way streets here, I'm still partial to the original 98 mirrors...they're tight into the body and give the car a crisp/clean look. The newer mirrors appear too "bulky" and don't flow well with the coupe's lines.

time to seach the junkyards
