Tranny Question
Hey guys,
I have a JDM H22A Auto in my 94 Accord. Ever since I did my swap my tranny has been shifting at different points sometimes. It only happens when I leave it in D4 ... if I shift it manually everything works fine.
For instance ... sometimes when I floor it it will shift into the next gear at 4200 rather then 7400 ... other times it will shift at other points maybe 4000, 5000 etc. It also doesn't downshift all the time in D4 ... once again if I do it manually it's fine. I have noticed that the tranny will act more like normal when the engine is cold ... as it warms up it will shift at lower RPMs and stop downshifting. Like when I start after the car has been sitting it will shift around 7000 RPMs and downshift properly ... then it will warm up a bit and shift at 3000 from 1st to 2nd. and shfit at 4500 for the rest of the gears. Like I say some days are better then others but the tranny has never slipped.
I am not throwing any CELs but I am getting D4 code 15 (It's a silent D4 code). If I am not mistaken I think that is for the Mainshaft Speed sensor. I already have replaced that, and I know it's good. I have also checked the resistence on the two wires running to the sensor at the TCM and i am getting a 450 OHm reading. I made sure the cable going from the lever on the tranny to the throttle rotor was tight. And I just changed the tranny fluid as well. So what else could be causing this code??
I don’t know what's causing these problems, it has stumped not only myself, but everyone else I have asked. Hopefully someone can help me out.
BTW ... I took some video of what's happening so if you wanna see it just hit me up on AIM. Thanks again guys for all your help.

since i dont ahve a H22 setup in my car i might be wrong but the gearing on the h22 is shorter than that of the f22. so your guage cluster would read what the f22 would do not really what the h22 is doing. its probably gearing correctly you just looking at the needle thinking its something else. then again i could be wrong. how long you had the swap? did it do this b4? really need more info but hey i dont have one either...
