Default 03 Accord's steering wheel switches not lighted?

I just drove my 03 Accord EXL at night for the 1st time and was dissappointed to see the steering wheel switches (audio and cruise) not lighted. My 97 Ford Explorer's steering wheel switches are lit. Are the Accord's not supposed to be lighted?

I think lighted steering wheel controls look dumb and tacky. They are too distracting. There are only like 6 buttons, so who cares?

I think the whole point of steering wheel buttons are so that you don't have to take your eyes off the road or hands off the wheel, so maybe it's better they didn't want you to see them ;P

i doubt they are any more distracting that the instrument cluster in front of ones face.

but at the same time, if you cant see them at night, and are distracted trying to find them.....

I know.... they arent that hard to find, its just getting used to them, im sure some older people will never remember what buttons do what.... etc... it would just be nice to have them lit.
