when i start my car, the rpms spike between 200 and 1000 about 5 or 6 times then settle on 800. this has never happened before until this morning, and it has occured 4 times today. any ideas what this is?

usually it starts over 1000 rpms, then settles on 800.

 

is your car under warranty?

 

you know it. i was just hoping NOT to bring it in to the dealer. usually when i go in, the will say that something else is broken, or when i leave, i notice something else is wrong that wasn't there before. :happysad:

 

Just bring the fawker in. Sounds almost like a distributor problem.

 

Sounds like you need to find a different dealer. You're not obligated to bring it into the same dealer you bought it from to get warranty work.
