Default extension of my valve spring question...useful with new fuel map but stock cam?

Ok, Inspyral raised a good point. I do have to keep a stock cam for my autocross bracket, but I'm allowed to alter fuel mapping and all that other stuff the ECU controls.

Can a stock camshaft make power past the stock redline if the fuel curve is tweeked? In autocross (as in any type of racing), shifting costs time, so I'm just trying to figure out what will help my times, and what's just gonna be useless. Thanks

you wont make power past redline w/stock cams. does the rules allow headwork or cam gears? you can move the power up by adjusting cam gears and headwork can help out some too. you can raise the redline so that you could hold a gear long w/out hittin the limiter. in our b20vtec we rev it to 8500 on the road course even though Tq starts droping at 7800.
