94-97 Front Signals...PLEASE HELP
Ok, lemme start off by saying im retarded...i decided to replace my awesome clear signals with a set of stock all orange ones like 98+...but my stupid ass buys a set off a 99 and they show up today and they dont fit....just my luck that i didnt look it up first, oh welll.....but my question is has anyone painted the crazy euro ones to match the newer orange, and if so what paint? or does anyone know of where i can buy the all orange to fit my car? thanx in advance all....or if anyone wants to by these off me, they look brand new

you should be able to get orange transparent spraypaint at almost any hobby store (places that sell stuff like model airplanes and RC cars).
Havent tried it, but yeah, I can't stand the half-clear turnsignals on my 94

Funny you should mention... I just got finished spraying my front turn signal lenses off my 97 LS.
Anyhow.. there's some bad news.. the 98-01 lenses cannot be modified to fit the earlier 94-97 front bumper. I hope you're able to return them for the right ones.
The paint you want is made by Krylon; it is part of their brand-new "Stained Glass" series. The orange color of the cap is not totally transparent, but the paint is.
Mask the backside of the lens housing really well, and BE SURE THE LENS SURFACE IS IMMACULATELY CLEAN. Use paint thinner to wipe down the surface to be sure no road oils or other shite is on the lens surface. Then lay down 3 fairly heavy coats, waiting 15 mins in between.
Otherwise, it's a simple job. The only thing that was difficult for me was finding a shop that sold the paint.

The lighing was pretty shit ( and I think the lens was dirty) but it gives you a good idea of what to expect. My avatar will be updated shortly, it's fairly decent as a before pic.
I think it's a great mod.
