Default I want an Integra

Hey guys, im new to this forum.
as of current i have a 1987 Monte Carlo. I want to sell it and get an integra. I want as new as i can afford, im lookin to spend round 8 grand. I dont want something really fast, so not a GS-R, what im really looking for is luxury in a reliable, not slow, good looking, car. What year/model should i look for? and does anyone have any for sale?
and i know its a weird question in an acura forum, but anyone wanna buy an 87 monte carlo ls?

Well if you don't wan't a GS-R then that leaves an LS/GS/RS. These are the lower end tegs. 140hp/127lb/ft TQ. Not the fastest things around but they're fun and have potential. I'd recommend a 98-2k1. Oh yeah, if yah want luxury, I think the GS is the one you're looking for. I think those came with leather and mayber some other luxury items. I drive an LS so a GS owner could probably tell you better.

if you want a fast one get the GS-R. it has all the luxury you need and the 170 Hp motor as opposed to the rs/ls/gs 140 hp motor. if you want something even faster do some research on the the Integra Type-R a limited edition model with some creature comforts removed but it has a much sportier suspension and a 195 Hp motor.

The problem with buying a type r is that it is not luxury it is a race car, no leather, no sunroof. I think what you are looking for is the gsr or the special edition.

He said he wants luxury and not speed. A GS would do you fine. It use to be called an SE (Special Edition) in the earlier years. It has leather, power windows and power moon roof. They also have the 140hp engine.

Default 99 GS

I have a 99 GS.......leather, sunroof, power windows, locks, etc..

I wouldn't consider it a "luxury" car (used to have a CL and that was a little closer to luxury), but it has what you need/expect and it is fun to drive. It may not be as much fun as a GSR, but it is fun nonetheless and insurance is a little cheaper. I would reccommend it to anyone.

just get a GS-R. it's nothing amazingly fast, but totally worth it compared to the LS/GS/RS/SE models.

Honestly, if you are looking more towards luxury than performance, look into buying a 3.0CL. You can have them for around the price you are willing to pay.

If you want new, and luxury, you're probably looking at a GS. You won't be able to get a very new GS-R for 8 grand. A late 90's GS seems perfect for you.

Haha, I dunno why everyone gives GS-Rs so much credit. People always ask me about mine like it's a Porsche (I even had some kid take a picture of it when I went to the gumball this year). Anyway, to me it sounds like you want a GS-R. I wouldn't say the GS-R is "really fast" by any means. My uncle's Altima can smoke it (straightline). Basically most of the "options" on other cars are standard (sunroof, leather, Cd Player [some years], ABS, etc). It's a great combo of luxury and performance. But if you really don't want a GS-R or can't drive stick, go for the Special Edition or GS with leather.

In your case, I'd avoid the Type R
