so I was pulling out into an intersection after a slightly delayed reaction to the light turning green, and a guy coming perpendicular to me blows his light and wrecks into me at 30+mph with his 2002 impala sedan. It stalled my car instantly and I slid sideways into a curb 20 ft away. The whole right side is messed up, front bumper needs replaced along with right fender, door, and my right front suspension components were screwed up. Not to mention he cracked my right jdm headlight. I'm ok, except for some soreness, but I will be angry beyond belief if they declare it totalled. Is there any advice u guys can give to me in terms of getting it repaired, or getting extra money from his insurance company, or adding money to get the whole car painted... things like that. thanx guys. Ya, this morning, my back and neck are a little sore but nothing is wrong with me. I'm still really worried about it being totalled. According to www.kbb.com, my car is worth $2900, and the autobody said that the insurance companies wil pay up to 85% of the cars worth to repair it, anything over that->it's totalled. So up to about $2400 of damage before it's totalled. Does it sound like a new bumper, fender, door panel, and quarter panel and painted sounds like $2400?? Oh and one of the right front suspension arms was snapped in half and the shock and spring were messed up + front corner of the frame is bent in a little. How much do u guys think??? Thanx

 

if the frame is bent forget it. You don't want to have a car with a bent frame anyway. Take the money and get a newer teg
