Default H22A swap, possible?

Hey, I've been a member for a while, but this is my first time posting! I have done many things to my car to exterior wise and when I figure out how to put pics up, I will. But back to my question. I own a 1997 Integra LS automatic and I'm wanting to do some drastic changes to the engine. I was thinking the other day if it was possible to put an H22A Prelude VTEC motor in my car, Turbocharge it, and put a catback exhaust system. Now I just need positive feedback on everything I would need to make it possible along with a manual instead of an auto. I know it's an expensive process, but I like to go all out and be different. So if it's possible to do, please those who know or have experiened with swaps, tell me what all I would need! I hope someone can help me!!! Thanks!

Hmm thats kind of difficult to answer. If you're LS was a manual I would say turbo that and spend the money you'd save on a swap, on fuel/internals/electronics for the turbo. Otherwise you could get a manual tranny swap and a turbo. This might be somewhat close to an H22 and turbo though (in price).

Hmmmmm....I would either say just turbo your LS now...or just get an H22 swap. Gettin both will be pricey.

H22A = 2.2 liters
B18A/B = 1.8 liters

auto vs manual

h22a=200 hp(very large)
b18b=140?hp(not as large)
ive seen it swapped into accords, and even civic hatchbacks, so id say its possible. if i were you, id do a type r or gsr swap, turbo that and be on your way......most swaps should come with a tranny.

I think it was a jspec tho. If you must have an H22 go JSpec since its prolly gonna cost you a lot anyway.

Well I'm looking to get mine through JDMpower.net because I hear they're pretty good. I also forgot to mention that my body kit is molded in all around, so would that make it impossible to work on, or would it be just very difficult? Thanks for the ideas everyone, keep giving me some more input and I'll eventually narrow it down to something. I just know that JDMpower.net has a little special going on so I figured I might go for it. Everyone that doesn't know about the website thepartstrader.com should check it out, they got some good deals!!!

What do you plan to do with the car? Straight line or curvy roads? If it's straight line I'd say go for it. For curvy roads, I'd say to turbo your current engine. I'd imagine you'd have to beef up the suspension to help with the added weight of the H22.
