hi flow cat

Default hi flow cat

does a high flow cat actually give open up much horsepower? thats the only thing that i have stock in my entire exhaust system and i was wondering if getting a hi flow one would help much. if so do u know how much hp it will give me? thanks a lot guys

Depends on how old your cat is, but yes, it does free up flow and will give horsepower.

a pretty signifagent amount, dont have any dyno sheets but i mean damn, my oem was clogged and i installed a test pipe, and the difference was night and day, to bad test pipe isn't street legal, my high flow cat did improve it though

Just gut your existing one. A hammer and long screwdriver work wonders :naughty: .

i have a 94 ls w/ 80k miles. do you have a random tech or carsound? im not sure which one to get

On a basically stock car, its not going to do much. There are better things you can spend your money on. But if yer old cat is bad, you might as well go high flow. Carsound :thumbup:

They can suck it...

racingpipes.com has 2.25" test pipes for $35 shipped. i hear gutting the cat is a BIATCH (with a capital IACTCH)!!!

To each their own...some people care about the environment and also dont want to risk the thousands of dollars in fines.

Go Carsound or Catco. Avoid RT...Ive seen numerous RT cats fail prematurely.

I wouldnt gut the stock cat either personally, but I do have a clogged one here if you want to make an offer on it...that way you dont have to destroy your expensive stock cat

gutting/hollowing your cat disrupts air flow therefore a loss in hp/tq
