Default 4th gen rear sway bar question (And strut bar)

Are there any 4th gen owners out there who have a rear sway bar AND aftermarket exhaust? I had heard that there are some clearance issues with the rear sway and exhaust piping if the pipe's any bigger than stock. Anyone? Also, does anyone have a rear strut bar? Did it do anything, or does it just look shiny?

Thanks!

the lower rear strut bar on accords don't do a thing. You can barely even see it from a car that's following you.

i don't know about the one that goes in the trunk though...that one might help (theoretically speaking)

Not the rear lower tie bar, the rear sway bar. Also called anti-sway or anti roll bar. Lots of people put them on to move the car's personality more toward neutral from understeer. Suspension Techniques and Neuspeed make them for fourth gen. Accords, as well as some others. Anybody got one with an aftermarket exhaust? Clearance problems?

eliteaccord- what did you notice when you put the upper rear strut bar on?

Thanks to all who reply- I'm resorting my suspension and am wondering about what to put on. Am leaning toward H&R Sport Springs and KYB AGX shocks... Any thoughts?

you ask for rear sway and you get responses for rear tie's...

anyhow, w/ regards to the rear-sway bar, it's already pretty close to the piping on the stock exhaust. BUT if your aftermarket exhaust have the exact same bends as the stock ones, then you won't run into any clearance problems. yes the bar will be touching the piping when the car is jacked up... but when you set it down to where it usually is (on the ground), the sway bar doesn't rub.

i don't have a problem with the ST rear sway and my Remus exhaust. then again, not many people have Remus exhausts so that may not be the best example to give.

So there is a rear antisway bar on the 4th Gen but all models?
EX's (or EXR's for the canucks) come with rear swaybar, about the thickness of a paperclip. so for EX owners, it's a simple swap-n-bolt on process.

for some LX/DX owners, they came with EX trailing arms (only difference is that there's a pre-drilled hole for the rear swaybar). but most LX/DX trailing arms don't have the hole pre-drilled so that's the one modification/arm that needs to be done.

Cool... I don't know how close to stock bends my exhaust is, but I guess it's probably pretty close. How does that Remus exhaust sound? I didn't know they made one for the 4th gen Accord. Or is it a Remus muffler with piping or what?

some places supposedly sell a Remus "cat-back". but i just got the muffler. i don't have anything that requires the bigger piping so why spend that much more $$$ on it. yeah, they have the Remus for Accords. most places need to special order it since it's not a popular mod for Japanese cars. it's a nice low rumble, not loud at all.
