One bullet whizzed past Officer Jones’s head. She fired back, emptying her five-shot revolver. One shot knocked the gun from the man’s two-handed grip, piercing his right middle finger and grazing his left hand, according to the police. Another shot hit the lock on the front door, jamming it. The gunman tried to flee, Mr. Browne said, but could not get the door open. Finally, he grabbed his gun, kicked out a lower panel on the door and crawled out. Officer Jones followed him out the door to see which way he was running.
A super hero in my book.

yea that's badass

BUT . . . was she intending to hit him in the fingers and did she intent to hit the door? she fired five shots and only one hit the suspect . . .thats not excellent marksmanship that's poor marksmanship. Not to mention stupidity . . . you have a guy firing a 44 mag from 12 feet away and you choose to shoot the door? blow that fucker away. Lady cop is a badass for going up against a 44 mag with no vest but she's a horrible shot fingers or not. From 12 feet away a proficient police officer should easily be able to get 5/5 center mass

I'm not discounting her courage you dumbass, I'm merely saying that for her two have two amazingly impossible shots and then 3 errant ones does not qualify the statement that she's an excellent marksman. Of course she was under stress and as such if she could pull of shots of that sort then there's no reason why the other 3 should have complete misses. Not to mention the article says she had a revolver of her own . . . most BUG revolvers are small j-frames. not exactly a gun known for superior pinpoint accuracy o:

she's got some kahonas on her but i say lucky shots not expert marksmanship.

I mean think about it . . . someone fires a 44 mag past your face . . . whats your first reaction? shoot his finger? yea ok . . . you go for center mass like training taught you. I'm merely stating that the odds of this being due to her marksmanship level is highly unlikely.

She still went out there, notify the thief that she was an officer, and proceed to exchange bullets.
I for one, Street Kings. Shoot first, ask questions later.

my buddy is a cop and he said the majority of the cops only empty their clips once a year, when its time to get their cert. only a couple actually spend time in the range. so most cops aren't marksmen jess.
