Default K&N filters and resonater removal

Whats a good online site to get a drop in K&N filter cheap for a 94 accord LX?

Can someone point me to a page that has instructions on removing the resonater?

Resonator you dont need too much guidance

You need:
phillips head screwdriver
10mm and 12mm socket
A 1.5" inch socket wrench extension helps

Jack up right side of car, remove front wheel

Remove screws and I think one bolt from fender lining, and pull it back to reveal a big black box

Use the 12mm socket to remove the 2 bolts on it. The rear one (rear to the car) is easy, the front one is not as easy (but not hard)

Remove them and tug on the big black resonator box and it should come out.

Not hard at all unless you cant figure out how to use a socket wrench, other wise your screwed

So if you take out the whole resonator system, how does the air get in the intake now? Also, i was looking in my Haynes manual and it has all this stuff about an intake resonator solenoid and electrical wiring...did you pull all this stuff out too?

no no no thats all in the engine bay

Taking out the resonator does nothing to hurt your car. Think of how does air get into the intake manifold through a big black box? It doesn't get in very quick. If anything removing it helps

So what about the K&N filter? Is it worth putting one in too while removing the resonator?

Yes the K&N flows more air and is made of better quality then the paper filters. So get a K&N OEM filter at your local Pepboys, Kragen, or Autozone.

yup i went to buy the k&n drop in filter form pepboys but they didnt have the part i needed, so i ordered it from www.optauto.com. it was cheaper anyways, around 47.xx bucks including shipping compared to 51.xx bucks at pepboys.
