Stroker Kit Question
What's really involved in stroker kits. I am a preschooler with this stuff and know nothing about 'em. Are they just tools that make your displacement bigger? or, do you actually install them?
Yes, a stroker kit would include a crank with a bigger stroke. Crower and Eagle both make the cranks. Eagle sells the whole kit with crank, rods, pistons, pins, rings for $1600-2k depending on what you get.
Stroker kits usually come with pistons and rods too. You need different length rods because with a bigger stroke the pistons would hit the head if they didn't change the length of the rods. You often have to do some minor machine work as well such as notching the block, or if if its a crazy stroker kit you may need to add a deck plate and cylinder sleeves as well.
