get a dc header. or a landspeed or something if you want to save money. also, pulleys are a good bang for your buck

My wife said she's not happy with our civic in stock form. it's a 96 DX, and now she wants it modded. we've had the car for about 2 weeks now, and for the first week and a half she SWORE she wanted to keep it STOCK. she said the only mods i could do were stereo mods. So what can i do to it to get more power? header? Turbo? NOS? cat-back exhaust? what about swapping out the cam for something a little beefier? cause i have a buddy who has a 70 Chevelle with a worked 350 and he's always talking about tossing in different cams and his MSD ignition, so maybe i could do that? would a bigger fuel pump help as well? and i've heard of porting and polishing the heads, and i assume that's an internal thing. can i do that myself with a dremil tool? thanks for any replies, because now SHE wants more power!

if she just wants minor power for the DX, get intake with K&N filter, fuel pressure regulator, Header, Full-Cat exahust, High flow cat... she'll like it much better, i mean it won't be extremely fast, but faster than stock..thats for sure.

yea, the intake would probably be the best place to start, and it will make it sound cool. Also, on the 96+ DX's, the catalytic converter is RIGHT on the beginning of the exhaust manifold, you can get a header for an EX, and then get a universal cat and have it moved to the bottom of the piping and that should free up a nice little amount of power, other than that if you arent going with a turbo or supercharger, then it might be worth it to save up for a b16 swap depending on how much they are in your area. They are pretty cheap in my area.....
