Default 2003 Jaguar S-Type

Ok, heres the deal...

For prom...my dad was thinking about buying me a 1999 BMW M3 Coupe (5psd, 40K miles) as a prom car/graduation present. But now he's thinking about getting a 2003 Jaguar S-Type 4.2 V8 for his own and I'm afraid that he's gonna make me drive his car to prom instead of my M3 (No M3 for me for graduation!). I realize that its a nice car and all...but do you guys have any experience or reviews you wanna tell me? I'm really leaning AWAY from the Jag.

Pros and Cons!

This is what you sound like:

"Oh no, daddy is buying himself an S-Type instead of getting me an M3. Boo hoo!"

Come on man, try to be a little more appreciative of what you have.

He realized his mistake, flaming him now would be pointless.

Personally I'd go for a 5-Series or E-Class over an S-Type if I was your dad...maybe you could steer him in that direction.

I tried getting my mom to let me borrow her 02 5 series for my prom...and she said no.

So, I drove my teg.

Look at it this way: If you don't get the M3, and pops gets the Jag, you still have a Jag to take to the prom...which beats your Accord. Which brings up, you've got a 15k car that you are taking for granted.

I'm not trying to flame you at all, just trying to help you realize that you've got it well off right now.
