Default thicker head gasket lower c/r?

i need some information on this: 92 gsr with c/r of 9.7:1. i am planning to run 8-10 psi of boost with a t3/to4b on this stock motor. somebody told me i need to change a thicker head gasket to be safer. so what exactly i need to do? should i change the stock one or should i leave it alone. if i have to, how thick the gasket i should go for? and how much it can lower my c/r? any ideas?

Use this:

Plug in different h/g thicknesses until you get to your desired C/R.
