Default Best speakers for hard rock??

I play alot of hard rock in my car and I can't get it to the volume level i enjoy with my stock speakers. What are some good 6.5's that perform well when playing hardrock through?

take a listen to some different speakers... see what sounds good to you... I have Boston Acoustics and they sound great with pretty much any kind of music. Polk Audio is a nice all-around speaker as well.

Adding an amp (even 35x4 RMS) will get much more volume out of your speakers, and allow them to play cleaner at a higher volume.

www.caraudioforum.com also
if you want a great set of speakers for rock music, it should be a good set to play any type... for me its a bit hard to try to evaluate a speaker with hard rock cuz the distortion doesn't help lol
try listen to speakers with some jazz or soft music, try to find something that sounds closer to real live audio

It's good to see some people still listen to hard rock. I have Boston Acoustic pro's. The old ones with silk dome tweeters. They love Led Zeppelin.

Anyway, the above advice is good. Give a listen in a car audio shop then buy from the net.

My ears tell me metalic tweeters = listening fatigue. my 2c

no neccesarily...
not only is sound quality subjective
but i can think of a bunch of speaker companies that would give mb quart a run for their money

You really need to open your ears to other sets out there bro...
give a listen to Adire Koda6.1, Rainbow Contour Line, Dynaudio 240, .... to name a few... and the MB quart ear bleeders will fall from the list of most natural sounding component set....
