take a listen to some different speakers... see what sounds good to you... I have Boston Acoustics and they sound great with pretty much any kind of music. Polk Audio is a nice all-around speaker as well.

Adding an amp (even 35x4 RMS) will get much more volume out of your speakers, and allow them to play cleaner at a higher volume.
