Default do enkei rims get respect here?

im very critcal of rim companys knock off companys like konig, rota, tenzo etc kinda get on my nerves recnetly i cam across a good deal on a set of enkei rop5's or somthin like they they are 16" 5 spoke flat black i like em and i kinda consider enkei respectable... they have been around alot longer then alot of companys i remeber seeing them on adams classic rx7 back in the day... they are noo mugen, racinghart or volks but i think they are respectable......... (by the way im not flaming those wit tenzos etc.. jus my 2 cents).. whats yours? by the way i have jdm roadflares on ebay for 700 bucks hahahahhaha j/k

Usually if the wheel is strong and light (and devoid of triple-plated chrome surfaces), chances are, everyone will like it. If the wheel matches the above conditions minus the "light" part, then everyone but the moderators will like it. h:

My 17" Volks weigh 14 lbs, so I could care less when people gripe about the "performance loss" when going to a larger wheel. Larger wheels are a strictly appearance only mod. I just paid extra to get light wheels and thus happen to have the added benefit of not losing too much in terms of speed.

I like the ol' skool RS-Evolution (real 3 piece, not the RSE's that discounttire sells) and the Bortex RPM-02's. Those are sweet Enkei wheels...

along the same lines does anyone else think that big rims are kinda cheezy on imports? let me clarrify on certain imports i think kenny trans candyapple red supra has 19" c2's.. i love that freakin car!

The only reason i would buy 17's would be because I needed them to fit over bigger brakes.

Who cares what the tools like, get the wheels you like that fit your goal and budget. I'm not gonna cry 'cause some JDM whore thinks I should have bought wheels that cost more than my car.
