Camber kits
Hey guys. So I'm getting a set of 17x7.5 volk gram light 57Cs in gunmetal for my teg. Wrapping them in Proxes T1S. I was talking to a guy who's selling me the proxes ($221 CDN each, which is awesome) and he said to not get a camber kit.
I said I was dropping it like 2" and he said the problem with the camber kits on the Intergra's is that once the correction is done, the wheel will likely rub. He said that as long as I get a good alignment done once they are installed and I have the toe and caster set properly, and I have the wheels rotated regularily, I should be fine.
Any thoughts?

I agree with g2tegls, i have an 01 gsr with 17" rotas on it with a skunk2 camber kit and i havent any problems with rubbing. I would see it this why unless u want your tires flat on the ground getting as much traction as possible, get the camber kit!
rubbing or not will depend on the drop, the size of the wheels and tires, and the offset of the wheels.
there are a lot of people who are doing fine with only a drop and no camber kit. its mainly the toe and caster that messes up the tires very quickly.

ok let me tell you this unless you want to look kinda dumb then you are gonna need a camber kit and also if you want your tires to last you a couple k's then you have to get a good alignment and camber kit if you drop 2.0 inches
mines:
16" rota subzero.
205-45-16 falkens.
i have a 40mm offset, and my wheel is just about flush with the fender. i have a 1 finger gap. before when my wheels were tucked in and without a camber kit, i did rub on the fender lining.

The guy was probably talking about offset upper control arm bolts such as the Ingalls kit. Some people have had problems with that type of kit banging the inner fender lining. The skunk2 kit replaces the whole upper control arm and has adjustable ball joints so the adjustment is totally self-contained within the control arm.
