Forced Induction...I did my search
After hearing about turbo lag and how bad a turbo can be for my engine, I think I might just go on with a supercharger in the future but I was wondering if VOrtech made one for the LS? I have heard from a couple of friends that the JRSC isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Thanks.
Superchargers are belt driven, and that doesn't mix well with low torque engines. I've seen dyno graphs of tegs on JRSC, and they pale in comparison to a car with comparable preparation and a turbo. I'll try to find the links and post them later. You should also consider the fact that increasing boost (if you decide to take the risk) on a supercharger is a complicated affair (change belts, fiddle with all kinds of other mechanical crap).
With about the same start up cost (for a turbo kit, or your own kit) you can have a system with quite a bit more power potential, and is slightly easier to maintain IMHO.

A turbo requires a lot closer of an eye to keep it running properly though. A supercharger you can generally slap it on and forget about it.
They don't make nearly as much power though (100+ with a turbo and like 40-50 with an SC). I'm not sure of those numbers, but that's a reference.
As someone else posted though, you may not be trying to go out and beat Ferrari's or anything else, you may just want a little more UNF; and a supercharger WILL do that for you, no problem.

A supercharger on your LS isn't going to make you beat everyone in your city either.
A well tuned, and lightly modified ITR would beat you.

A couple of SIs, a couple GSRs, and a bunch of domestic v6s and v8s.
Jackson Racing....Vortech doesnt make one yet for the LS
